Would you tell me about your Cavachon's personality?
Our Cavachon's are delightful bundles of love and affection. They are out going and love making new friends. Friendly and happy, they are perfect for the whole family. They are calm, rarely bark, they are dogs that love being on your lap, they love to snuggle with you and follow you everywhere. They are the perfect size, small enough to fit in any house or apartment, go for walks and play with the children, they are a healthy size. They are a joy to have around the house, and they love to please their owners. Our feed back on our puppies has been totally wonderful and families adore their cavachon's sweet gentle temperament. We have repeat buyers and receive referrals. Our cavachons are an excellent choice for children and grandchildren. They are perfect for the whole family!

Yes, our cavachon puppies have been a excellent choice for children and they love the company of other pets. We have two of our cavachon's that are therapy dogs for nursing home visits, their gentle temperment makes them excellent for the service to others and they bring a smile to everyone they meet.

How do we care for their hair?
The hair on our cavachon's is very, very soft and very easy to care for. It doesn't tangle easy and brushing keeps it looking great. I recommend the puppy cut if you want to keep it short, and usually a couple times a year it will need to be cut, depending on how you prefer the hair kept. They have wonderful fluffy hair that is a very beautiful and easy to maintain. I like the hair long as I like to put in bows and fix their hair in cute hair do's. We have families that have allergies and have done well with their cavachons, without any problems.
Is it best to get a boy or girl?
Both are equally sweet and loving. Those that have adopted boys and those that have adopted girls feel the same way and think their cavachon is the best. From my experience and keeping in touch with my adoptive families, I find no difference in boy or girl and advise you to pick the puppy that you fall in love with. That always seems to work best.
What size are they as adults?
Our puppies as adults will be around 10-15 pounds.
Are your puppies first generation?
We breed only first generation, from purebred Bichon Frise and King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Those two breeds are a wonderful combination. We were breeding both breeds as a purebred breed before making the choice to breed these wonderful breeds together and breed our cavachon's. We have been delighted with the results, and are just thrilled with our choice. Having bred them as separate purebred dogs we knew the qualities that both breeds had to offer.
Do you own the parents of your puppies?
We do personality own all of our parent dogs, all of our puppies are bred and raised by us. We only sell puppies that we personality have bred and raised, we never sell puppies for anyone else.
Is shipping our puppy safe?
Yes, flying your puppy home to you is very safe and doesn't harm the puppy at all. They received attention and are wagging their tails and happy to meet their new adopted family when they arrive. We have flown puppies safely to their new homes for many years. Some have reported that the airline personnel had the puppies out of their crate and were holding them when they arrived. Who could resist? Your puppy will fly home in an airline approved crate which you will keep for use at home.
Do you accept deposits?
We do accept deposits of $200. for the puppy of your choice or on a future litter that has not been born yet. The deposit is applied to the purchase price and you would pay the balance when you pick up your puppy at our home or 10 days before the puppy is to fly home to you. Deposits are non refundable, but if something unexpected should happen and you can not take your puppy at that time, your deposit may be applied to another puppy at a different time.
Do we get to pick our own puppy when we reserve one?
Yes, families chose which puppy they want to adopt. If you have reserved a puppy from a litter, families will select their puppy in order that the deposits have been placed.
May we visit our puppy?
Yes, we welcome visitors to our home to see and play with the puppies. They love to have company and are eager to show off and receive attention. Once the puppies have their first shot's they may have company. They can usually have visitors once they are 7 weeks of age. Protecting our puppies is our concern as recommended by the vet.

Have fun and enjoy shopping, you will agree that spoiling puppies is so much fun!
Should we enroll our puppy in an obedience class?
We highly recommend taking your puppy to puppy kindergarten and also advanced classes. Once they have had all their shots then they should go to doggie school! It is wonderful to have a well trained dog and it is great for bonding and a real pleasure to watch your dog learn commands and tricks. All dogs deserve to be trained and we strongly recommend it if possible. We also have a graduation page on our web site to honor our puppies that go to school. We hope to have many more featured on the site. Our cavachon's are very smart and a joy and easy to train.
Should we keep in touch with you after our puppy comes home with us?
Yes, we really appreciate hearing from our adopted families about how the puppies are doing in their new homes. I keep in touch with families and am interested in my puppies for their whole life. That is something that is very important and I want to receive pictures and news about my puppies and be kept informed of their progress. It is one of the condition of the adoption that I will be kept informed. It is also a lot of fun to write and hear from families on how they are doing and how the new family member is doing. I have made lifetime friendships with my adopted families and that is a blessing to me.
Where are you located?
We are near Bloomington Indiana.
How long have you been breeding dogs?
I have always had dogs as a child and so has my husband, when my husband and I met I had a German Shepherd and Ben had a Beagle. I have been breeding dogs since 1973. Ben and I bred and showed German Shepherds as our first purebred dog. In 1988 I bought my first Bichon Frise her name was Charmin, and I have owned Bichon's ever since. We bred purebred Bichon's for 20 years and then I learned about the cavachon, the cavachon has the sweet happy personality of the Bichon and the gentleness and sweetness of the Cavalier. It is a wonderful cross. I am very proud to be a professional dog breeder, it has brought me much joy and I am fortunate to be able to do what I love to do. I have received many thankful letters and it is great to make lasting friendships with those who now own our puppies. I love what I do, I really enjoy it.
