Welcome to Cavachonpuppies.com

Happy, lovable, home grown Cavachon's from our heart to yours.

Hello, I am Maggie and so very glad you are here to visit my page. I hope you enjoy reading about me and my family. This is me the day I went to my new home. I am just a baby. But what a beautiful baby!! Don't you agree! Love to you all...Maggie
I am so excited as a cavachon can be to tell you my story...

Let's start at the begininning.  My mom and dad reserved me when I was a small baby..My birth name was "Sara".  (That is the name that I had on my picture when my cute adorable baby picture was on the web site.)
My now given name by my adopted family is "Maggie." While my male owner and I were perfectly happy with Sara, with the three ladies in our house, the "name game" got drawn out for awhile.  After 6 months I am use to the name Maggie, and I guess it is better than other names I heard that I might be given such as Izzy, Oreo, Gizmo and Payton.

And I like the name of Maggie, it just fits me very well!!

I moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois it is just 50 mile northwest of Chicago and I love it.  Across the street from my house are the Dole Mansion and a 12 acre park where I spend most of the time off my property at.  It is a lot of fun too!
This is a picture of my brother and I. Now I am the cute one in the front!!! Now you see what kind of doggie life we live!!!!
When I arrived at my new home, I was pleased to see that my new family already had another dog..and he was the same breed.  His name is "Harley" and rumor has it that either he was named for the motorcycle that was sold about the time he came into the family or "small dogs need big names". so my male owner chose "Harley".  I refer to him as "my brother from a different mother".  But we are best friends and he sure makes it fun around here!
My brother and I are in a gang, well, kind of a gang! It is a group of neighborhood dogs that we see each day on our walks.  In our gang is "Moose" the Silky Terrier, "Betty" a Beagle, "Winston" a Maltese, and Badger a Brittany Spaniel.  All of us are less than 30 pounds except Badger.  Our gang symbol is the "raised paw."  My day is complete when I get to see my friends.  My male owner is usually with us to make sure we don't do anything wrong (what can 5-6 dogs possibly do?)  In fact at one time he was a volunteer dog obedience trainer, but you could never tell that by spending a day with my brother and I.  Sometimes with the gang their is some jealousies but we all get along.

My typical day is always great.  My brother and I wake one of our owners early in the morning, whichever one stirs first, by licking and lying on top of them.  Then it is downstairs and we wait while the coffee is turned on (I have never had coffee... yet) then we go for a walk and sometimes we see other "members of our gang."  If the grass is wet outside we get wiped off, but otherwise we each get a saucer of milk along with the cat and then we go outside and play in the fenced backyard while our owner reads the papers.  About this time another owner is up and has a cup of coffee in their hand and for us, especially me; it is like another new day.  My energy and excitement level goes back up, I get to lick and jump again, but after an hour, I am pretty exhausted and I need a nap.  The rest of the day is a series of "in and out" of the house, to get mail, play in the yard, greet any visitors and hang with the owners.  They are a busy family, but always include my brother and me.

Our favorite is when one of them takes us for a car ride.  I have learned from my brother how to hang my head out the window while we drive.  I look so cool....everyone waves, smiles or laughs at me.  We usually head to a park and even though our owner thinks my brother and I don't know that all they did was drive us 500 feet to the other side of the park we always walk in, pretend to be very excited about a "new park" and that seems to get them feeling quite proud of themselves.  In the evenings we always get a walk before bed, but our owners make us put these stupid lights on our necks so that we can see and can be seen.  I like the "red" light instead of the "white" light and I pass myself off as a "police dog!!

Here is one of my baby pictures that I want to share with you. As you can see I am part of the family!
Our owners take lots of pictures of us, and they even make movie's on DVD's of me and my brother together. They have been making movie's of me starting from the first day they picked me up.

I love being in the movies and we do put on quite a show!!
;)
Did I mention I go to the "SPA"? Yeap, I do, usually with my brother.  It's a very nice place called "Dippin Doggies" and I get the full works...shampoo, cut, blow dry, and a nice pretty bow on my collar.  (My brother gets a small bandana).
Here is a great picture of me and my brother, out in the yard. We are such good doggies, we never get in trouble. See how sweet we look.
It is time for a break, and I am very comfortable.....what a life! It is simply the best!

We are having some cavachon doggie down time and I am planning what I will be doing this afternoon.

The most significant event in my life so far has been me "nailing" an SUV.  I went across the street to visit the kids in the park while they were cleaning for Earth Day" and one of the kids picked me up to pet me.  If course I had crossed the propery line without one of my owners and they were on their way to get me, when a large SUV was coming down the street.  The little girl sat me down and I did not see the SUV as I ran across the street to see my owners (and to get them to forgive my stupidity of crossing the street on my own) and the SUV stopped, but I didn't and ran right into the front tire.  That hurt!  My owners took me to the hospital just to be safe, and other than a small cut I was fine.  I came home later after some observation and an IV.  Ironically, my invisible fence training had already been scheduled and my owners were just completing putting a new fence up in the backyard.  (P.S. After the fence was completed, I found out that I can squeeze under and through the fence, which also gets me in trouble.)

But I am ok and hopefully I have learned my lesson!

Let's see, I think I have everything packed and ready to head to the office!!

I am Maggie the wonder dog!!!!!

I am always ready to go place's with the family and I love to make new friends.

What is Harley thinking of doing? I usually do what my bubby does...

I have a tip for all of you looking at this website and reading my story...get a Cavachon puppy.  My owners have had Shepherd mixes, Golden Lab/Retriever mixes and my brother and I (both Cavachons) have been told we have been the best and are spoiled to no end!  The reason that we are spoiled is that we are great companions and very loving dogs!  With us you will never be lonely, as we always want to be by you, we don't eat much (but do like treats), we are smart and learn quickly, we give lots of love and are empathetic (if one of our owners even fakes crying we run and lick them to make them feel better.)  You will also get alot of attention if you own one of us.  People are always asking "What kind of dog is that?" and you can proudly day a "designer dog" and tell our story of the breed.

Did I mention that I have had my portrait painted?  Yes, it is on this very website.  Please look for me; I want everyone to see how I look on canvas.  (Thank you Vicki for putting my painted picture up on the website, it made my 13 year old owner very proud!)
My page would not be complete without me adding my painting. I love my painting and I especially love the girl that painted it!
AAAWWWHHH Time for a nap...We like to sleep with our toys near us, that way we are ready to play when we wake up!!
Hey, that is all I have for now, as I have to go take a nap, then my owner promised to take us out on the boat (hopefully it is not like the last time and only on the boat sitting in the driveway while he cleaned it.)

I want to see my first fish caught!

Vicki thinks this picture is just adorabe of me!! I look so sweet that you just want to pick me up and kiss me!! I do love kisses too!! Well, I must close for this time, it sure has been nice and fun for me to be the cavachon of the month, I know you have enjoyed reading about me. Thank-you so much. We ( Maggie and Harley and my family) have really enjoyed sharing with everyone. Have a wonderful day and I hope you adopt a cavachon like me for your very own. Love and Kisses to all and especially to my super family....They are the best!!!! LOVE TO ALL MAGGIE!!!!!
